About the job

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting & Payroll Specialist to join our team in Semarang. You will be responsible for managing the full accounting cycle, ensuring tax compliance for the company and clients, and managing accurate payroll processes. This role is crucial in supporting financial compliance and tax advisory services.

Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Perform daily accounting functions, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and General Ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with PSAK/IFRS.
  • Collaborate with external/internal auditors and provide necessary documentation for audit processes.
  • Conduct periodic account analysis to ensure data accuracy.

Tax Compliance & Advisory

  • Ensure compliance with all Indonesian tax regulations (Corporate Income Tax, VAT, and other taxes).
  • Calculate, prepare, and file periodic and annual tax returns (including e-SPT, e-Faktur).
  • Handle PPh 21/26 calculations, withholdings, and reporting related to payroll.
  • Provide tax planning advice and guidance to management and clients regarding business transactions.

Payroll Administration

  • Process payroll accurately and timely, including base salary, overtime, bonuses, and allowances.
  • Calculate and process all deductions, including BPJS Ketenagakerjaan & Kesehatan.
  • Reconcile payroll reports and resolve any employee/client inquiries regarding salary and tax.
  • Maintain and update accurate and confidential employee payroll records.

Qualifications

  • Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in Accounting, Tax, and Payroll (Experience in a Public Accounting Firm/KAP or Consulting Firm is preferred).
  • Language: English proficiency (oral and written) is a must for communicating with foreign clients.
  • Certification: Brevet A & B certification is a strong plus.
  • Technical Skills: Deep understanding of full accounting cycles, PSAK, payroll systems, and Indonesian tax laws.
  • General Skills: High accuracy, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and excellent communication skills.
