We are looking for a talented Backend / Fullstack Engineer who is meticulous and purpose-driven to ensure the timely delivery of quality software products that exceed customers and organization standards.

You will need to be a fast learner to understand the business objectives and requirements of each software and to plan and execute an appropriate software architecture that provides a seamless, fast and secure platform experience. Good command of English and the willingness to ask questions is a must.

As a Software Engineer, you will work with the company’s tech team and report to the tech lead. Your key responsibilities will be to write clean and scalable quality code, tackling technical challenges along the way. Ideally, you are familiar with coding best practices and love the art of coding and love seeing things work and scale.

On the job as Backend Engineer, you will be required to:

• Write clean, scalable code with understanding of best practices in mind
• Write secure, scalable, and optimized APIs
• Writing front-end code (if fullstack) that is optimized
• Solve technical challenges through discussions and research
• Develop software in the AI tools space for career seekers
• Understand business requirements and work closely with Product and Tech team
• Have ownership of your code, as poor quality products shipped to market has negative impact on the company’s reputation
• Fix bugs to ship out quality products

Requirements

• At least 3-5 years of experience working with Node.JS and React.JS
• Familiar with AWS cloud and microservices architecture
• Strong, logical mind. If you love solving logical puzzles, this may be a good fit
• Communication - we want people who speak up and have their own thoughts
• Ownership and pride - having pride and ownership in shipping out good code and good products

• Work closely with product owners, designers and software engineers to create high quality and error-free software products
• Working in a startup, you will come into contact with all sorts of changing business requirements and technical challenges, it will never be boring

Career Progression

• As a backend / full stack engineer, you can progress to be a Senior Software Engineer. You can then move on to be a Principal engineer / software architect after having a good understanding of the different parts of software.
