This position is responsible for supervising and controlling all gold room activities including electrowinning, smelting, bullion handling, and gold accountability to ensure that bullion production is carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with company procedures, security standards, and metallurgical targets. This role also ensures that all gold room operations are properly documented, controlled, and aligned with safety, production, and accountability requirements.

Some of your duties will include:

• Supervise all gold room operations including electrowinning, smelting, drying, weighing, and bullion pouring.
• Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with safety procedures, security protocols, and gold accountability SOP.
• Organize work schedules and assign tasks to gold room operators to maintain efficient operations.
• Monitor process parameters to ensure optimal gold recovery and minimize losses.
• Prepare, review, and verify bullion production reports, chemical consumption records, and gold accountability documentation.
• Perform routine inspections of gold room equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Conduct internal audits related to bullion, sludge, dore, and other gold-bearing materials.
• Coordinate with Metallurgy, Process Plant, and Security teams to maintain proper control of precious metal inventory.
• Train operators on technical procedures, safety practices, and precious metal handling protocols.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable mining regulations.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Minimum high school or vocational school education, preferably Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Chemistry, or Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in gold room, electrowinning, smelting, or precious metal processing operations.
• Strong knowledge of electrowinning, smelting, refining, and bullion handling processes.
• Good understanding of gold accountability systems and security procedures for precious metals.
• High integrity, detail-oriented, and able to work with high accuracy.
• Strong supervisory, leadership, and communication skills.
• Willing to work at site / remote area with roster schedule.
• Familiar with safety standards, operational SOP, and internal audit procedures.
