Merdeka is owned by prominent shareholders, including PT Saratoga Investama Sedaya Tbk, PT Provident Capital Indonesia (through PT Mitra Daya Mustika and PT Suwarna Arta Mandiri), and Garibaldi Thohir.** Summary: Assist and support the implementation of the Superintendent Environment - Biodiversity duties in the implementation of environmental management systems and environmental management activities in accordance with AMDAL/ESIA (Environmental and Social Impact Analysis), Internal Mine Closure and Reclamation Standards, Internal Biodiversity Standards, IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles, and other environmental and forestry regulations, including ISO 14001. Coordinate with relevant parties in the preparation of environmental documents such as AMDAL, reclamation plans, and post-mining plans. Develop international best practices for biodiversity management, standards, and management plans and oversee the implementation of plans at work sites to go beyond environmental compliance. Provide guidance, advice, and assistance to operational site management to expand and improve biodiversity management capacity, systems, and compliance. Conduct audits and inspections of the implementation of biodiversity management plans, rehabilitation areas, and reclamation activities at work sites or designated areas. Contribute to sustainability reports and monthly and annual reports related to sustainability and the environment within the Merdeka group.

Responsibilities:

• Assist and support the implementation of the duties of the Supervisor Environment - Biodiversity in the implementation of environmental management systems and environmental management activities in accordance with AMDAL/ESIA (Environmental and Social Impact Analysis), Internal Mine Closure and Reclamation Standards, Internal Biodiversity Standards, IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles, and other environmental and forestry regulations, including ISO 14001.
• Assisting the superintendent with the environment Biodiversity in coordinating with related parties in preparing environmental documents such as AMDAL, Reclamation Plan, Post-Mining Plan, and other permits
• Assist the Superintendent Environment – Biodiversity in developing international best practices in biodiversity management, standards, and management plans and oversee the implementation of plans at work sites to go beyond environmental compliance.
• Assist the Superintendent Environment – Biodiversity to provide guidance, advice, and assistance to operational site management to expand and improve biodiversity management capacity, systems, and compliance.
• Assist the Superintendent of Environment – Biodiversity in contributing to the sustainability report and monthly and annual reports related to sustainability and environment within the Merdeka group.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, forestry, biology, or a related engineering major.
• A minimum of 1 - 4 years of professional experience as an environmental supervisor in mining, oil and gas, and/or high-risk industries related to environmental concerns.
• Capable of effectively communicating in both Indonesian and English.
• Possesses a First Operational Supervisor (POP) certification.
• Knowledgeable about the AMDAL (Environmental Impact Assessment) preparation process, reclamation plan, post-mining plans, and environmental permit documentation.
• Experienced in managing biodiversity.
• Experienced in managing environmental issues related to nursery operation, reclamation, rehabilitation, and other environmental factors during the mining project development phase.
• Acquainted with the IFC PS 6 and the Equator Principle.
• Familiar with contractor management systems.
• Experienced in identifying risks and impacts and implementing measures for effective environmental management.
• Skilled in utilizing ArcGIS, QGIS, Microsoft Office, Google Docs, WebGIS, and the latest applications for analyzing environmental issues.
• Have knowledge of best-practice biodiversity management.
• Have knowledge of environmental, reclamation, and biodiversity regulations and permits pertaining to the mining industry.
