Main Duties :
1. To maintain agreed call patterns, achieve agreed weekly room night targets and ensure a high level of exposure for the hotel through direct sales solicitation, telephone contact, written communication and direct programs.
2. To implement additional short/long term sales action plans relating to specific sales territories as outlined in the business plan.
3. To provide daily reports consisting of all relating with sales and marketing activities.
4. To produce weekly reports consisting of specific area of responsibility, the productivity of the top ten accounts associated therewith, and lost businesses with as detailed reasons as possible.
5. To prepare monthly reports which include number of accounts visited, new contracts signed, figures relating to performance versus target of specific client base, client/market feedback, competitor information, planning for next month activities.
6. To ensure that the tracker on all clients provides accurate, appropriate, and up-dated information.
7. To create new potential markets in-line with the growth of the market sources locally.
8. To negotiate rate agreements with client based on their room nights productivity.
9. To increase occupancy, average rates and profits of the hotel through planning guided by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
10. To immediately reply to any incoming correspondence relating to rate inquiries pertaining to specific market segment.
11. To maintain personal contact with key customers and to back up the activities of any members of the sales team voluntarily.
12. To define and target markets to be solicited utilizing data contained in the hotel’s computer system and develop an appropriate sales solicitation strategy for both local and national markets.
13. To participate in trade shows and undertake sales trips when required.
14. To provide feedback and counsel to the Sales and Marketing Manager on all sales-related activities.
15. To maintain inter-departmental relationship and to ensure the smooth operation of the company.
16. To maintain the employees relationship within the department, ensuring that the correct standards and methods of service are maintained.
17. To attend briefings, meetings, and training activities conducted by the Sales and Marketing Department.
18. To carry out any other duties which may be reasonably requested by the management from time to time.
19. To supervise the employees within department, ensuring that the correct standards and methods of service are maintained.
20. To respond to any changes in the departmental function as dictated by the industry, company or the Hotel
21. To perform duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with the company to achieve overall objectives of the position.
22. To maintain the highest standard of professionalism, ethics and attitude towards all Hotel guests, clients, staff and employees
23. Carry out any other related task/duty designated by Superior
