About the Opportunity
We are partnering with an established international manufacturer within the building materials industry to identify an experienced Country Manager to lead and grow its business in Indonesia.
This is a highly visible role with full responsibility for driving sales growth, developing project pipelines, managing distributor networks, and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders across the construction and commercial building sectors.
The successful candidate will serve as the company's commercial lead in Indonesia, working closely with architects, consultants, developers, contractors, and distribution partners to secure project specifications and drive successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Sales Growth
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue and market share across Indonesia.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within commercial, healthcare, hospitality, office, education, and other construction sectors.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of projects and opportunities.
Project Specification & Business Development
- Engage architects, designers, consultants, project owners, and engineering firms to secure product specifications.
- Support projects from design stage through tendering, procurement, and project completion.
- Drive conversion of specifications into successful sales orders.
Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with developers, contractors, consultants, architects, and key decision-makers.
- Act as the primary commercial representative for the business in Indonesia.
- Deliver technical and commercial presentations to clients and industry stakeholders.
Distributor & Channel Management
- Manage and develop existing distributor relationships.
- Identify opportunities to expand distribution coverage across Indonesia.
- Work closely with distributors on sales planning, pipeline development, and customer engagement activities.
- Monitor distributor performance and implement growth initiatives.
Brand Building & Industry Engagement
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, seminars, and networking functions.
- Organize product presentations, workshops, and educational programs for industry professionals.
- Strengthen brand awareness and market presence within the architecture and construction community.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, pricing, and emerging opportunities.
- Provide market insights and recommendations to support business growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in sales, specification, business development, or channel management within the building materials, construction materials, interior finishes, or related industries.
- Proven track record in managing project sales and specification-driven business.
- Strong existing network with architects, consultants, developers, contractors, engineering firms, and building material distributors in Indonesia.
- Experience managing commercial distribution channels and distributor partnerships.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive business growth across Indonesia.
- Experience within flooring, interior finishes, architectural products, or commercial building solutions will be an advantage.
