About the role

PT. Venus Indo Prima is seeking a dedicated Import & PPJK Staff (Mandarin Speaker) to join our Import & Export and Customs division. This is a full-time position based in Jakarta Barat, Jakarta Raya. As an Import & PPJK Staff member, you will play a crucial role in managing import documentation, customs clearance procedures, and client communications. Your responsibilities will directly impact the efficiency of our import operations and the satisfaction of our clients. This role is essential to maintaining our high standards in import logistics and customs brokerage services.

Key responsibilities

• Process and manage import documentation including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin
• Liaise with customs authorities to facilitate smooth customs clearance procedures for imported goods
• Communicate with clients, shipping agents, and suppliers to coordinate import operations and provide status updates
• Prepare and submit customs declaration forms and other required documentation to relevant authorities
• Monitor import shipments and track their progress through various stages of the clearance process
• Handle inquiries and resolve issues related to import shipments, ensuring timely resolution
• Maintain accurate records of import transactions and maintain proper filing systems
• Communicate in Mandarin Chinese with international clients and partners to ensure clear understanding of import requirements and procedures
• Support the PPJK (Pengusaha Pengurusan Jasa Kepabeanan) operations and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all import documentation is complete and accurate before submission

What we're looking for

• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (both written and spoken) - essential requirement
• Proficiency in English and Indonesian language
• Knowledge of import/export procedures, customs regulations, and PPJK processes
• Familiarity with customs documentation and international trade requirements
• Experience in the import, export, or customs brokerage industry is highly preferred
• Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with relevant software systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of INSW (Integrated System of Non-Tariff Duties) or similar customs systems is advantageous
• Problem-solving ability and resourcefulness when handling complex import matters
