Job Description – Import Forwarding Staff

We are looking for an experienced Import Forwarding Staff to join our Korean freight forwarding company.

Responsibilities:

• Handle import shipments from pre-arrival until cargo delivery.
• Prepare and check import documentation, including MBL/HBL, Manifest, DO, Invoice, Packing List, and supporting customs documents.
• Must be very familiar with Import Manifest and CEISA 4.0, including manifest submission, amendment/redress, and related processes.
• Coordinate with overseas agents, shipping lines, customs, terminals, warehouses, trucking vendors, and consignees.
• Monitor vessel schedules, cargo arrival, DO, customs clearance, container release, and delivery.
• Handle operational issues independently and follow up until completion.
• Maintain proper shipment records and provide timely updates to customers and management.

Requirements:

• Experience in freight forwarding, especially Sea Import.
• Strong knowledge of Import Manifest and CEISA 4.0 is mandatory.
• Familiar with shipping line, port, customs, and import operational procedures.
• Able to communicate and coordinate well with customers, agents, vendors, and internal teams.
• Proactive and willing to learn; able to find information and solutions independently without waiting to be continuously instructed.
• Good initiative and responsive — not passive or waiting to be told what to do.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Must be cooperative, adaptable, and able to get along well with colleagues.
• Responsible, disciplined, detail-oriented, and able to follow up on pending matters.
• Comfortable working in a Korean company environment.
• Able to work under operational deadlines and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
